Thinking about the school year's beginning.
Help the PTA continue its legacy and tradition! We are seeking volunteers for the 2024-2025 year! Volunteering in the school is a great way to get to know the staff, know more about what is going on in the building, see who your kiddo's friends are and even spy on them a little if you want?
We have multiple events in a year. Our goal is to be in the school as much as possible and help our kids have an amazing year.
Anyone can volunteer on maze days, staff appreciation lunches, concessions, 1st day of school schedule handout, yearbook handouts, open house, fundraising, school socials, Cub Lunch Bunch (formally known as Lunch Walkabouts), and backpack for kids. You do not need to be a CKMS PTA member to volunteer, just a person who loves CKMS.
Be a an approved CKSD Volunteer for all the schools you are connected with by submitting your CK District background check. If you do not do the background check, you can still volunteer, however there will be a background check every time you come into the school. This procedure protects our kids and staff and a requirement to enter the building beyond the office- so please make sure you have a valid government ID or Washington State ID.

Our board meetings are open to all. This year the leadership board is trying something new having quarterly meetings instead of monthly; here are tentative meeting dates September 16 (Monday), December 2nd (Monday), and March 17 (Monday).
